  • Loved this segment, but I think it would be interesting to have someone play devil's advocate every once in a while. That might liven up the discussion a little.

  • Love the format of the new show! Keep it up!

  • I just think they need some stools so that they have an easier demeanor + are more relaxed.

  • I hate to be a dick and say this, but you have to do something about the background noise of the new studio. It's awful.

  • Where's the debate?

I agree with all of them and they agree with each other. What's the point?

  • @Tmonstaa In fact, I think your charge of close mindedness simply because I think that so-called Libertarianism (the modern kind) is a vacuous brain dead ideology bereft of any reasonable intellectual foundation is an indication of closed mindedness on your part. After all, I am simply voicing disagreement with your philosophy. Is simple disagreement the same as closed mindedness? Isn't that the very thing you're accusing me of?

  • @Tmonstaa Don't mistake my charge of abusiveness for calling the waaahmbulance. I've just noticed a pronounced tendency amongst libertarians to respond to any challenge or criticism by calling people ignorant etc.

As far as having a closed mind, how do you know? Quite the assumption on your part, don't you think? How do you know I haven't had discussions with many libertarians and my opinion is based in that experience? Having an opinion doesn't mean your mind is closed. CONT

  • @devourerofbabies that's abusive? wow my bad dude I didn't know the "devourer of babies" was so sensitive. Look clearly you don't believe in any alternative perspective on this issue, which makes this convo kind of useless since you have closed your mind. Claiming Libertarians know embarrassingly little about anything is a rash generalization and seems like your calling me stupid (again im abusive?). Anyway what is wrong with an opposing opinion? that is all i was suggesting

  • @Tmonstaa Aaaaaand cue the abusiveness. No discussion with a Libertarian would be complete without it.

    To answer your questions:

    1) No. Not everybody who disagrees with me is a sheep.

    2) Yes. I'm familiar with what libertarianism is.

To answer your charge of ignorance:

I know it's super duper old, the roots go back to blah blah blah. But the current popularity of the modern libertarian movement is something I've only observed in the last few years.

  • @devourerofbabies so everyone that disagrees with your point of view is a sheep? Do you have any idea what libertarianism is? I don't think you do because if you did you would know it is much older than the "latest sheeple bandwagon" and it wasn't "concocted to keep people voting against their interests" its principles have been around since Thomas Jefferson. Do some research you sound unbelievably ignorant

  • @Tmonstaa Yeahhhhhh, see, that's where I'm going to have to disagree with you. For people who pride themselves on being so learned and fact oriented, Libertarians know embarrassingly little about anything. Libertarianism is just the latest sheeple bandwagon concocted to keep people voting against their interests.

  • @devourerofbabies It's a contrasting view that is actually backed up by facts and research rather than that of a neocon/GOP conservative view. I myself have found several points these guys were simply wrong about and no one was called out because its one big agreefest. You need a full range of views to get a real discussion on the issues especially tax policy
