Solo day trip to the Elk River in West Virginia on October 18th 2010. Did some fly fishing all day before catching any trout. Caught a couple average rainbows and saw some huge browns but didnt have any success with them. This was my first time on this river so I suspect to do better next time. Day was mostly clear with some overcast, had some pretty high winds from time to time which made casting difficult. Had a great time and hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching. Music in this video is by Lucero.

  • Like the way you put the video together. You all come back and fish again.

  • Great video. What part of Elk are you in.?

  • @urbancrusader Thanks for turning me on to a great band!!! Ive since seen them in concert and bought a couple albums!!!! One of the best bands i have heard in a long time. Thanks and keep up the rod!!!! Everyone has their own style of casting and if its working for you keep doing what you love!

  • must learn,,,

  • P.S. Love the music.

P.S.S. Slow your roll bro - less wrist more forearm - when playing the fish, don't worry about reeling unless you get spooled or it's a big fish - just strip line. In that sense, keep you drag low.

You'll get there - it takes time.
