Kayaking on Choptank River near Denton Maryland at Martinak State Park.

On July 30th, 2005, My friend Hernan took me out to Martinak State Park on the Choptank River near Denton, Maryland to go Kayaking for the first time after he recently purchased a really nice used Kayak. We departed the boat ramp area and paddled toward the main river. From there we originally were going to travel upstream toward Denton, but for whatever reason we went down stream. It was a very pieceful day with little noise to disturb us. The only thing was back in 2005, there was a bit of a drought and the water level was about 2' below normal, making for less interesting treks up side streams and along the river bank.
