Are all Xbox 360's just as noisy?

Or do they differ from machine to machine? I've seen a couple of videos on YouTube and some of them sound like freakin' jetplanes taking off!

This may have been posted already but if you install the game to your hard drive it doesn't sound like that loud, more like when you're in the dashboard mode.... :P

For some reason, the core/arcade ones sound pretty unique to the pro/elite ones. It's weird. Probably cuz the disc drive.

they discontinued the core and made the arcade

well the issue on noise level is because of the dvd drive,and older models run at higher temperatures than the new ones,the hotter a 360 gets the louder the fan gets
