Some water caustic effects implemented in Source. It's not dynamic, and fairly cheap to render. It's also very versatile, and can be used with displacements to suit the shape of the environment.

  • nice, pretty impressive. If the community is able to create these awesome things, so should valve. Meaning valve could apply these cheap to render effects to buff up the games.

  • i like it, i know its just material, but if you stare into water for awhile you will understand how complex it is to make in games, you know with undercurrents uppercurrents, waves, volume size, and objects in it...
