Half Life 2 Lip Sync Test

UPDATE: ***I've been getting more e-mails then I thought I would over the video so I just want to clear something up. I made this over a year ago out of boredom and a week later moved on to other stuff as it turned out this wasn't my cup of tea. At this point I pretty much remember nothing about the process or programs used. I really can't be of much help in teaching this kind of animation. Sorry. **

Just me giving the lip sync and animating tools in the Half Life 2 SDK a try. I had to bootleg my monitor because my computer sucks SO much that Fraps wouldn't record it at a decept framerate.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's free after you buy HL2. The SDK comes with a few programs including Face Poser, Hammer (map editor), and I believe a model viewer. I suggest you look up "A Few Good G-Men" to see what can be done with all three together.

Programs called "Face Poser" and is a part of the HL2 SDK. If you go to the tools tab in Steam it should list all those programs.

@Thesk8terbrian You were messing with the faceposer and accidentally rebuilt scenes.image. As far as i remember you'll have to extract the original one out of the .gcf
