The only problem with them joining the market from casual to "hardcore" gaming is that it dumbs down the market, it makes games that if one were already a gamer, then i'm sure they already know what stick moves the character and and which moves the camera and the continuous decline in real difficulty is sad, not to mention all the tedious tutorials for those who are joining gaming so late and it makes games seem more like hand holding and badgering than actual fun gaming experiences

they dont play video games cause there in the kitchen all day duhh

@TheMiniLynx Additionally, the industry doesn't need it at all.
-
@TheMiniLynx Maybe if you took a step back and pulled your head out of your asshole you would realize that it's the same in every other industry with a large female presence. Twilight, Sex and the City, The Kardashians, The Hills, the list goes on. Girls like shitty things because they're obsessed with crude and unsophisticated romance revolving around sex. Only the small minority of faggot-queer liberals and ugly dyke feminists give a shit about objectifying women. Women are fucking stupid.
-
@TheMiniLynx I'm uninterested in games with sex appeal unless it's conducive to a better story (Silent Hill 2 etc). The issue with having women playing *and* designing video games is that they're simple minded narrowly-interested morons. There would be more shoehorned sexuality in video games if women were more intimately involved, it's fucking retarded to just automatically assume otherwise. If you think the women who play World of Warcraft are some kind of weird oddity you're fooling yourself.

@Alectess1 I see. Nice sarcasm. >_>

Thank you. As a woman and an avid gamer, I find it so hard sometimes to root for the gaming industry. The constant exploitation and objectifying of female characters in their designs of clothing, personality and actions is downright grating. The idea that there is a distinct line of "games for men" and "games for women" and that the latter comprises of make-up, horses and cooking is also just as sexist and annoying.
I would definitely agree that the industry needs to make simply "games".

@justaguy600 Why not bro?
The industry needs it, and even if there are girls in it, it dosen't mean there will be casual games flooding the EB Games shelves
And I'm sure you guys can still have your balloon-chested sex appeals, even if women are designing some of the games.

I don't want women involved in the gaming industry.

You know why I like these.
Your humble
every gamer should have a nice gamer girl :)

@RevolutionaryLoser Not only that. The designer had a reasonable version of Lara from the beginning. He put those boobs on her as a joke submission to higher-ups, satirizing how sexualized female game characters are. Then his bosses went and adopted the thing... Now -that's- ruining Lara Croft.
