@ludwigking The PCM shuts off the fuel injectors at 108mph. A 9C1 PCM will physically fit, and the car can go to either 120, or 149. Something like that, depending if it had the pursuit tires optioned or not. The speed limiter is based on the tires rating. Problem with that, is the LT1 9C1's had a 3.08 rear, with 27" tires. The 96 RMW had either 2.56's or 2.93's with a 28" tire. The Speed-o is going to be off. The only year that will bolt right in, is a 96. I had a 94/95 PCM in mine.

I heard you could chnge the ECm to the 9C1 and the computer wouldn't shut down at 110 like it normally does.

@ludwigking I don't really understand what you are asking. But the 9C1 engine/ PCM was nothing special like it was in the GM past. I have looked at the programming within them, and they are LARGELY the same. Biggest difference is the speedo adjustment for the different rear gear, and a lack of pulling line pressure for shifts in to 4th.

@johnnyhigh247 9C1 is the GM RPO for the Police Package. Not even the 9C1 had the LT1 standard. Even the 9C1 had the L99 standard.

How do you like Those Afterburner Headers?

@77ChevyCamaro They are ok. The pass side hits the frame rail, and they hang a bit low. A/C lines also need to be bent out of the way, and a very thin gasket must be used.
