That's because his final words are the real interesting ones. You lack stamina;-)

I kind of wonder though if Americans will really GET it though. Given how Dutch culture is really quite different.
This is blunt, yet pretty complex Dutch humour. And part of a sort of shtick he has. Kind of a mixture between his experiences as a biologist and stand up comedy.

So Knight as a horserider !

That's the point exactly. Albatrosses can show lesbian behaviour - when the population has more female dan male animals.
This means that they only practise homosexuality because of the population they live in. Should more males be born in this albatross colony, these ladies will immediately turn heterosexual again.

@FunkyFjordy good point

It CAN be ;) Albatrosses can show lesbian behaviour when the population has more female dan male animals.
When female become lesbian, there is less concuration for the availeble males so there will be less conflicts.
Less conflicts means a save envoirement to grow up for the offspring.
Other animals 'practice' seksual behaviour before they will get a partner of the other gender.
Complex matter!

Mwhm, Every thing anyone does IS natural, just because it's conceivable. Homosexuality is very natural it's just not biologicaly progressive :P

"I wonder if Americans will really GET it though."
Unfortunately a significant part of the Dutch audience does not understand his intentions either. For instance when he explained the hypocrisy of a new law proposal against sex with animals, promoted by a political party that heavily endorses bio-industry. The audience did not see that he pointed out that human morals are not 1:1 with the animal's experience and thought he said it is okay to do it with horses (if i remember that detail well).

I thought paard means horse, not donkey.
as if I don't know how to translate basic words . . . Ever heard of artistic license?
Just thought my animal deviations sounded more exotic in english.
Zo geil als een paard, just does not ring in English .
