Ayyeche a memmi Ayyeche my son is a song about love, loss and cruelty. The legend goes like this:

Long time ago, there was this beautiful lady who couldnt have kids. So she went to see a fortune teller. The fortune teller told her that she will get pregnant and will have a boy and asked her to name the boy Ayyeche. Also, the fortune teller warned her that something bad will happen. Sure enough, the woman had a baby boy and named him Ayyeche.

Then her husband died. A lots of men were interested in marrying Ayyeches mother, but she turned them down. All she wanted is to devote her life raising her beloved Ayyeche. A corrupt official insisted on marrying Ayyeches mother, but she refused. The corrupt official killed Ayyeche to punish the mother. Ayyeches mother spent the rest of her life mourning her beloved son until one day she was found dead in the same spot where Ayyeche died.
