@yoshy321 does steve magnusson have a biography? Yeah i would agree listening is a big part of music and playing with great musos, but i still think you have to practise pretty hard to get to a certain level of playing, then you can probably just work on certain areas you want to improve on, but yeah i think he loves john scofield, i actually learnt off him a little bit but as I said i wasn't very good! oh well.

@ectomy1235 I think its all about playing with great musicians, I read in his biography he has been playing with motherfuckers since he was 20. I think practice isn't a giant part of becoming a motherfucker. Listening a ton, playing a ton.. He has clearly checked out alot of bill frisell and john scofield. I think anyone can become this good by taking the logical steps!

@yoshy321 yeah he is so good, i mean ive done alot of hard guitar practise but i still sucked, he has done so much and has the right head to be muso! I personally suck even though i tried to improve but just sucked!
