tusq, erst im vergangenen Jahr in Hamburg von ehedem oder zeitgleich in Bands wie D-Sailors, The Coalfield, Herrenmagazin oder Schrottgrenze tätigen Existenzen gegründet, verfahren mit von Hektik oder Aufgeregtheit vermeidende Art und Weise, ohne daß es ihren Liedern ansatzweise an Druck mangeln würde. Geschult an Lieblingsbands wie Soundtrack Of Our Lives oder Motorpsycho in ihren poppigen Phasen servieren Tusq sachte ins Hymnenhafte greifende Melancholiewunder, die ihre Einwandfreiheit aus der Kompetenz und dennoch nie geschwundenen Musikbegeisterung der Bandmitglieder beziehen - das Ergebnis (Im Frühjahr 2010 wurde mit Produzent Jürgen Hendlmeier in Finnland das Debütalbum aufgenommen) läßt sich als überaus beeindruckend bezeichnen.

tusq is a band from Hamburg/Berlin that started out in 2009. The bandmembers share a long history playing in other bands like D-Sailors, Schrottgrenze, Herrenmagazin and the Coalfield. In early 2010 they recorded their debut album „Patience Camp" in Finland together with producer Jürgen Hendlmeier. There is no denying that favourite bands like The Soundtracks Of Our Lives or Motorpsycho -- in their poppier phase, at least -- have left their marks, but they are never copied out of fanboy-ish devotion. Their approach to composition and arrangement is always accurate without diffusing into over-ambition or nervous arrogance. Tusq have set up camp and claimed their stake in the wide world of rock music where-in they wander effortlessly and confidently. There debutalbum "Patience Camp" will be out on 22nd of October via Strange Ways / Indigo in Germany, Austria and Suitzerland.
