Thanks for that comment, I was born to be bipolar. I knew from education and self reflection. So I prepared for it to be a possibility one day. Now I am in the process of trying to have even more control and work with my therapist to share about my bipolar-ism. Heck I still got a ways to go but I also have people and doctors that understand my situation well. What drives my gears is when people think bipolar means hostile. No it means artistic and passionate. Bipolar people are very patient too.

That's not all you can do. You can write poetry about it.

Least she is honest and pointing out not wanting to be the poster child. I myself am diagnosed with Bipolar Manic One. I laugh and say well I kept it under well control based on my life and what life has tossed at me. It really disturbs me when people who don't have bipolar are conducting about it with western medication. I rather take meditation and herbal remedies. Western medication is still a option, but I don't enjoy that much.

To the point...she is so smart and wise. Most people in this world are more "bipolar" than she is.

Being honest about what you have and talking about it does not mean " you are screaming from the roof top" playing victim......

Your experiences are real. The genesis and trajectory of those experiences is what is called into question. Psychiatric diagnosis is a military medical mafia institution. It is meant to keep feeling imprisoned, not liberated. You are a whole person in a disordered environment. You are not a disordered person.

Thank you though for standing up for us and saying our disorder is real! I'd love to be in the position of the person that doesn't think it is real. Then I wouldn't have lost so many years to Depression.

well actually you don't have to have mania. In bipolar type 2 you will only have brief periods of hypomania which is quite different to Mania And when you are at first given the meds for Depression they will not work as you don't have Depression, You have reoccurring Depression, that sometimes disguises itself in a week of feeling ok, a week of feeling organised and 2 months of feeling shit (speaking girl who has bipolar type 2).

In a graduate pharmaceutical course, they taught us that people get prescribed certain medication for depression. They then start displaying "mania" symptoms that must have been missed by doctors and that the medication must have "uncovered." And voila, "bi-polar" diagnosis. They then prescribe anti-psychotic drugs on top of the depression drug. I bet anything Jones was diagnosed with only depression first.
