@horsesrule54 Thank you for your ill-informed comment. :) "Jog" is the term used for the similar gait in western riding - it is generally slower and less extended than a trot. Very comfortable gait to sit, actually. My sister is the one who said "jog" - her experience is entirely in western riding - the intent was understood. As for you... "we mite as well put u in the stupid people riding horses videos!" LOL

@horsesrule54 Hun, Jog is western. Trot is english. Just like Lope is western, Canter is english. Get YOUR facts straight! While your at it, LEARN TO SPELL!

Why is it that a lot of horse people ARE fat?
-
i absolutely love how ignorant people are, its her blog, her horse looks like a Percheron x she can hold the weight, don't be so rude, your probably just insecure within yourselves.
-
@horsesrule54 bitch shut up, you obviously are oblivious to different horse terminology :)

@MrzFuzz horses can actually take about four average children or two adults so i think this rider has a perfectly good idea on weather she can ride or not even if she is plus sized and the horse so what if they say its fat i know a horse who is fat i used to ride her and she is still the same this horse could have weight isues. i think it is very brave and good of this person to ride a horse around people it shows that anyone can ride a horse no matter what

Beautiful horse!
Ah, still not healthy, though. Good that nobody's depressed here, but, still, the horse and person are in bad health. Horses catch diabetes, too. Joint erosion, and all that, I'm sure you know. Sorry, I've only gone up to have a 25% of fat on me. I get problems with anorexia, not high lipid percentage.

@EquitationHiatus I am not sure that I could be considered "in bad health" if you asked my doctor. Healthy as a horse, apart from carrying the extra pounds. No high blood pressure, no diabetes, high cholesterol, etc -- I eat reasonably well and am active (walk 2 miles to work each morning, gym, etc) -- the mare is more at risk for poor health, I will admit to that, but as previously noted, we are working on her fitness - other than that, not "in bad health" either.

@EquitationHiatus And you are brave to admit to problems with anorexia (which is defined by a psychological disorder that the sufferer does to themselves... not sure if you realize this?) but it is really no different than someone who has eaten themselves into obesity, etc.

No matter how much you try to be positive there will always be someone who has something negative to say. I'm a plus size rider as well and I can ride just as good as the girl whose a size 6 right beside me. You are beautiful and so is the horse. As long as u r doing good things people will always try 2 bring u down. Keep up the good work!

@ydee2010 Thank you - that's kind. :) I honestly don't pay much attention to the negative feedback - the mare is happy, I'm happy, we're both works in progress - it works for the both of us.
