  • I bet it's hot as a fire log in there.

  • I would absolutely love to have a Thanksgiving or Christmas supper in such an ambiance. Everything cooked in a hearth with wood. Would be great to have the place lighted without electricity too for an even greater rustic ambiance--but the kitchen is perfect. These lost arts need to be nurtured in our day as well. There's no such thing as "old fashioned"! Thanks for the video.

  • My parents, Ed and Joan Friedland, pioneered this activity in Lisbon back in the early 1960s. I grew up like this. They were instrumental in the restoration of numerous structures including the John Bishop house. Which home was this event held in?

  • thanks. didn't know this place existed. i'm connecticut yank, so i will have to visit.
