Buddy. Nobody in the pro circuit is "all natural". Maybe I'm doing a mistake by telling you this because maybe you'll start talking and dissing like all the other guys. The point is that it doesn't matter if he's natural or not, roids and hgh won't get to the Olympia stage or even in a contest, your determination, skill, genetics and guts will get you there. Because don't think you just steroids and puff, you're there, you can take them all you want if you don't know what you're doing exactly.

This was clearly his best shape ever. From 2000-2005 Gunter was easily the best bodybuilder on earth over 6ft. He actually beat Gustavo Badel in the both the muscularity and symmetry rounds, and should have at least been 3rd in this contest. Then somehow Gustavo gets put ahead of Gunter in the posing and posedown rounds and Gunter in 4th. WTF?!? Badel was not even close to the best poser this day. Gunter should have clearly won the posing routine round. Classic Posing, Arnold like.

@xXxPr0nxXx Yeah, both 2003 and 2004 were bad years for him, and his placing those years were gifts, as he was popular and a money maker for weider. He was going through a Divorce in 2003, in 04 he was just plain burned out. He took off the whole 2005 offseason to refresh himself before the performance above, he still did not have the size he had in 2002, but he certainly had at least, if not better, conditioning in 2005.

What makes Gunter's physique here so impressive is not just how massive he was but rather, how aesthetic he was. He was as massive as he could be while still looking aesthetic plus superb conditioning. Notice the whole audience cheered to his posing, but when he hit that twisting front double biceps shot, they fell silent like being in the presence of something truly awesome. Gunter absolutely should have won the posing round.

@moneyright22 By your logic Ronnie was only able to beat bodybuilders who "sucked"? Ronnie was great, but he looked his best before 2001, sure he got bigger later, but I don't think he looked as aesthetic as he did before. Gunter on the other hand could never look like Ronnie, as Gunter is over 6ft and has thick joints and a wide pelvis. That's hard structure to work with, yet he built a great physique anyway.

@lennardivoodoo Good point. It would be hard as hell for Ronnie Coleman to look like a Greek God when every Greek GOD was WHITE.

Not even a GREEK GOD could fuck with Coleman in this competition. In this case, it seemed like being a Greek God SUCKED.
