why do we think that just because someone shares the same skin as us, they "belong to us" in terms of a mate. we belong to each other as human beings. this is the problem with ALL races- think outside this box you have created in believing that you need someone who has your skin. if this world only thought that way, a lot of problems with relationships and marriage would decrease. love is not a color.

This is my boyfriends account and I'm too lazy to log into my own. So no one send him hate male...lol. That said, why is interracial the first option thrown at us? Why must it be a white man and not a black man who may not be American? Just saying. Whiten men have never been nor will they ever be an option, not because I'm racist, because I'm not attracted to them. Period.

@orangesofaful You are so right it ignores gays/lesbians all together. I'm so sick of the dL situations. For one, a cheater is just that a cheater! These blk wmn need to open up to other men. If blk men are willing to date outside, but are bashed for preferring lighter women, then blk women should be bashed for preferring blk men only. It is 2011 !!! who do you think is raising all these blk men who don't finish school? usually blk womn bc they choose to mate with deadbeat slackers! If you did not raise a college educated blk man then you can't comlain about the lack of them!!!!

@Ebonytheartist The program is called "Black Women in America," not "Women Looking for Men" or "Black, Heterosexual Women in America." Some Black Women in America are lesbians. This program claims to be inclusive of the experiences of black women, yet excludes part of the black female population (lesbians). I'm not looking for a woman on this video. Lol. That would be ridiculous. I was watching the video and noticed that they left out the dating experiences of black women who date women.

This documentary has nothing about black lesbians. Not all black women date men from. Typical of a film based off of black studies to ignore gay existence. I am a bi-racial lesbian and I'm comfortable dating women from either race. Lesbians aren't as racially territorial as men. This movie fails.
