In response to an April 19th, 2008 article in the Vancouver Sun regarding the continued war on the now internationally banned driftnet fishery, Here is an Earthtrust's campaign video, done in conjuction with Greenpeace, Seacops and the UFAWU which looks at the danger posed by driftnetting to fisheries and marine life

Long line fishing and drift nets are both band, most governments just don't enforce this law in anyway so it's up to the people who know of these things to send the message and keep informing people. If you eat swordfish and tuna, ask the markets or even people at restaurants if they know how they were caught. People need to be aware, we can't let ignorance blind us and keep us silent. Drift nets still go on everywhere. Japan, the Mediterranean, the States.It needs to end!
