This is the first video made using the new Sony HD camera. Note the wide-screen format.

A short visit on my way home from up north. e.g. Wensleydale including the Masham Steam Rally.

Mike Scargill drives the ancient (116 years old) Manning Wardle SIR BERKELEY. It was good to see that the loco had suffered no ill effects from its previous outing.
Late news-slip in the Old Run magazine, received today tells us that "It is with much sorrow that we have to inform you of the sudden and unexpected death of Mike Scargill our Membership Secretary on Tuesday 2nd December 2008, whilst on holiday in France."

He was a lovely man and will be sadly missed.

  • Great Video, 5 Stars!

  • Don't be daft, of course the English refer to steam locos as "she"! Doesn't everyone?

  • Not sure I agree with 'only ships being called she'. Never mind, HE is wonderful. Happy?

As an aside I am English.

  • She is wonderful.
