In a perfect world, Mr. Leon Russell would be celebrated as one of the greatest contributors to american music over the past 57 years. Unfortunately, the usa has things like a rnr hall of fame induction ceremony for some media stunt and then forgets about those who contribute lasting art to the broader culture while the new new thing is manufactured marketed and made profitable. then profits start to decline on that performing commodity and it's time to get a new new new thing and on and on and

Having gone to HS with Leon (Russell Bridges as we knew him), I can tell you that this video was taken/done less than 5 yrs. after his graduation. He played piano for David Gates band in HS and as you know - Gates went on to eventually form Bread.
