It all boils down to many factors, what team you go to (how good the team is), if you can take it to the next level, and stay healthy. Emmitt Smith didnt win a heisman but is NFL's leading rusher.It does matter because it shows who was a good performer in college, but it doesn't matter because greats haven't won it but have set records.
