Computer Controlled Dorm Room + Party Button

My computer controlled dorm room complete with Party Button.

In the mood to dance? Have some friends over? Just want to lay off some steam? Just hit the wonderful party button; and it's instant party action!

This is actually an older build. I got rid of the tesla orb, and put in a desk lamp instead, and re-wrote the code of the remote control accordingly.

It works with a Flex interface that pipes commands to a laptop computer which then translates, and pipes those commands to a micro-controller which has control over an array of relays, which all of the things are plugged into. The relay array and its subsequent step-up-driver was actually made by me, not store bought.

Because of the way that the Laptop interfaces with the microcontroller, php, I can jump in onto that command chain at that point, thereby allowing my web-enabled cellphone to control the room as well.

What's not shown here is a #!bash script I made for easy control through linux, with commands like:
"room orb on"
"room lamp off"
"room party"
