Feared in the witching hour, sacred and revered in the ancient halls of Egyptian folklore, and an entrée for the Australian aboriginal, this darn cat has made an impact on the precarious order that we call nature. Written, directed, and narrated by filmmaker Allison Argo, this documentary from National Geographic poses some valid questions concerning the domestic kitty and its role in the wild. A "tomcat" with an overdeveloped urge for mating, and a renegade tabby that might be responsible for a substantial decline in wildlife, keep the viewer chasing the tail of the mysterious feline and the secrets it keeps.

  • Great Video!!! Cats are indeed very interesting animals. They are very flexible and independent animals. They may be domesticated but deep inside they are still wild. They follow their natural instincts yet they are sociable and people still like them. :-)

    Hope a they can also make a documentary video about feral cats and mallards or ducks.

  • dogs= you have to command

    cats= you have to request

  • Very interesting documentary! I love cats!

  • Hey, WARRIORS Clans!

  • cats you scary

  • For some reason, when the cat stands on its hands on Uri's hands, my eyes filled with tears! At no point in the show did the cats exhibit stressed body language, and that trust, and connection in an animal so independent and solitary was profoundly moving to me.

  • @DagorMorwen Yeah, But Remember what they Said, Sometimes Signals Can be Misinterpreted, not just cats to human, but humans to cats. For humans Squinting your Eyes means you have something against someone, Or that you look down upon someone, and you are superior. But for cats it means Friendship and honor. It's Natural For you too think that.. i did too until i started squinting back at cats... and then they would get up and sit on my lap purring. it was Amazing how it worked.

  • Yes, that is correct what she says (6:49). I gave 1500USD for my cat, a Ragdoll.

  • DANCE YOU LITTLE BABUSHKA. DANCE!!!

  • only intelligent and sensible people can have a cat as friend

  • @DagorMorwen 5,000 years ago, the Egyptians worshiped cats as gods...Cats never forgot that. ;)
