Today, cell phones equipped with 1 megapixel or higher digital cameras are everywhere, and taking pictures with a cell phone has become the norm. One convenient product that reinforces camera phone functions to satisfy customers wanting to take wider, larger, higher quality photos is a magnet mount conversion lens called the DIGITAL KING 180°FISHEYE from Toda Seiko Co., Ltd.
The new lens features an exclusive magnet mount system that uses a powerful magnet and a metal mount ring. The metal mount ring is attached to the perimeter of the cell phone's camera lens and then a magnetic lens is mounted to that metal ring.
Each conversion lens features a glass lens and an aluminum body to ensure reliable performance and durability.
In addition to the Fisheye lens, the product lineup includes a 2.0X telephoto lens, a 0.5X wide-angle lens, a 0.38X super-wide angle lens, and a 4X macro lens. The angle of view can be changed by merely mounting any one of these conversion lenses to a cell phone's camera lens. The magnet mount system uses a powerful magnet rated at 1800 Gauss, and if the lens is properly mounted, it will not fall off by itself. However, just in case, each lens comes with a strap that fastens the lens to the cell phone.

  • ,..has anyone tried just putting the lens up against a rubberized eyepiece of a binoculor or monoculor,..say to take a snapshot at a horse race of the finish? Perhaps with a rubber washer or even a hollowed out plastic bottle top, it can be synced and aligned up to see what the eye would see, but with the zoom, DOF effect, ect. Don't scratch your lens but, I bet it would work, with certain mini telescopes and binocular that have a rubber eyepiece? Well, maybe, just a thought, I will go try, lulz!

  • I would like to do the same thing. I plan on buying a set of jeweler's loupe on eBay, with magnification powers of 10x, 20x, 30x, and 40x. Do you think it will work using those lenses to take some macro videos with the Vado HD 2nd gen?

  • @GlennLane1 i bought on ebay from a hongkong company and paid almost nothing (12€ for macro and wide angle lens, delivered!)

  • @LongBoardCruisers instead of the full stops, put (dot) instead :)

  • @LongBoardCruisers Cool awesome thats nice to hear from you !

  • @LongBoardCruisers its all good, i have one now lol

  • @kevincarfreak I got a link, but youtube wont allow me to comment it.

  • @Exter00 theres a magnet.

  • Tthe problem is buying a lens from a company that doesn't rip you off like all the Hong Kong based companies. The U.K don't sell them, and ebay is full of scamers as mentioned above. If i could find one honest company that sells magnetic lenses that fit the Kodak Zi8, I'de buy several.

  • @yomazzzzzzz so do these, its the vig. it depends on the size of your cameras current lens.
