Although this song is really beautiful, It actually makes me really sad because of the circumstances in which it was written. In this song John says how "he knows exactly where his life will go" all this after going through a lifetime of trying to find himself (as recorded in songs like Nowhere Man and Come Together), and it really pisses me off that he didn't get the chance to experience this feeling of fulfillment for a long time. Really, really sad.
