FYI It was Billy Howerdel that wrote the APC material.

Iha was awesome in A Perfect Circle but for some reason his solo work wasn't that good. He needs good songwriters around him like Corgan and Maynard.

You can't have the Beatles without Lennon does not equal you cann't have the Pumpkins without Wretzky. Period. The two are not comparable in any way whatsoever. Wretzky leaving is no different than a band firing the drummer (whch happens ALL THE TIME.

I don't remember Iha and Weeztky writing half of the Pumpkins albums. They contibuted to maybe 1 or 2 songs per album.

I would say it depends on the contribution of the person leaving.  D'Arcy was irrelevant; she didn't play on most if any of the records. Besides Melissa seemed to fit better and sound better but I prefer that material in general. On the contrary I'd say James not returning was epic fail.

They're not the Pumpkins IMO. They needs all the members to be the band.

You can't have Led Zepplin w/o Bonham, you can't have The Police with only Sting, you can't have The Beatles w/o Lennon.

All the members are what make a band a band. You can have 3 guys in a band, but if one leaves, it's not that band any longer.

1. Billy Corgan's voice was best in SP's Gish album, LISTEN TO IT.

2. This is still great, during the Mellon Collie years his voice was bad 'cause he was going through a long state of voice change.
