In On The Brink we discuss the past, present and future of connectivity with a mix of people including David Rowan, chief editor of Wired UK; Caterina Fake, founder of Flickr; and Eric Wahlforss, the co-founder of Soundcloud. Each of the interviewees discusses the emerging opportunities being enabled by technology as we enter the Networked Society. Concepts such as borderless opportunities and creativity, new open business models, and today's 'dumb society' are brought up and discussed.

kudos on the production quality. information wants to flow freely, but what of that anachronism that is the modern nation-state? will technology help free people to be able to travel, live and work wherever they wish?

Hi and thanks for your comment. At Ericsson we believe that communication is a basic human need and if this is true, then the answer to your question is yes. However there are still a billion people today living outside the network, so until all are connected (that wish to be connected) we have work to do.

Video needs full credits! Mad props to whoever shot / edited / did the graphics for this.
What's the piece of music that plays starting at 13:37 as the statistical information is presented?

I think this video is nice, but they do not talk about the new risks. It is onesided. Where is the fact that you can buy heroin anonymously online or 1 trillion racist comments have been made on Youtube? Also the data being collected about us, it can be used against us like they did during the Arab Spring. Also insurance companies are already developing datamining systems to make "better" decisions.

Great but what happens when fossil fuels run out and our computers will no longer turn on?

What a scary world Ericsson put forward. I hope society opens its eyes before the prophecy is realised, and actually start talking to each other, and stop using the online space as a panacea which prevents them from seeking true freedom. Of course, Ericsson would disagree

My family laughed when I told them I would earn much more money with Certor Cash Code, but then I showed them the results. Google Certor Cash Code to see their reaction. (You should see their priceless faces!)
