Nobody unleashes such mesmerizing sound out of the guitar like Belew! He exudes such virtuosity you get the feeling there's nothing he can't do.

I always thought it was God talking about his Young Lion sacrificed for the world but through which we could all become "Young Lions."

Adrian had a noble theme indeed and perhaps God decided to add an extra layer of meaning unbeknownst to Adrian.

A very powerful song referring to the massacre of the lions in Africa. Adrian Belew is awesome that he'd make his music this way.

I have the "Young Lions" album and I highly recommend it. There's a cut on it "Gun Man" where David Bowie sings the lead.
