@CapeCatboat For the record i know this is old, but while i am not an expert, it really all depends on the bird. Some are louder than others. i would try and see one in person first. they do have the capability of being very loud, and the one that i have been around will occasionally decide to silence everyone in the room:D
@IraLeeMusic No animal attacks randomly. What kind of BS is that? You have to provoke it first and you need to know what sets off that animal. They have very different personalities. Those pet owners you probably saw what they had coming. All young creatures bite. My quaker used to bite a lot, so I gave him a chew toy and he never bit anyone after that unless they pissed him off. Do your own research and do it better.
@CapeCatboat Do your research first.... these birds can be some of the most mean and randomly-violent birds out there......
there are tons of horror stories, and a few regular stories... just don't get one unless you fully research them and their personalities... (THEY ARE NEEDY AND BITE ALOT... and draw blood)
Hi - I would LOVE to have a large bird but my condo does not allow "noisy" birds, I was told that the Severe Macaws were not too noisy. Would appreciate your comments. Thanks. :)
Beautiful little Severe..I have one but he plucks..hopefully this new home will fix him. He likes my gf alot more than me right now but I can tell they're good birds.
I have a severe I got in Escondido; he looks just like Sydney, right down to the broken toe on his right foot. He says a lot of the same things Sydney does. Could they be related?
