actually, belarus does have their own language, belarussian, but, she loves her brother so much that she's forgotten to speak her own language XD

In simple engliah they,use the crylic alphabet witch like the latin one letters have a sound but the word yes and many other words are spelled and said differently

Because we're(I'm UA) really one folk - Rus'(not russians, it's a difference), and have similar cultures, national wears etc.
And our 3 languages went from single Ancient-Rus' language.
We use almost same cyrillic alphabet, and have similar phonetics.
We have difference in lexic because of our history and our neighbours.

... can someone explain to me why both ukrainian and belarusian sounds (and looks) so a lot like russian...? Or is it that russian is a more new 'version' of ukrainian? (I dont know, but Ukraine is older then Russia, right?)
