After surfing a long board for the last year the ability duck dive is a godsend. One of the huge pluses of riding a shortboard is not getting thrashed by bigger waves when paddling out. Instead of holding on for dear life, you can pass under gracefully and keep on chugging. Waves that I used to say "oh shit" when I saw are now not nearly as intimidating. Plus you look good doing it. THANKS DUCK DIVE!

@littlelongboarder what sort of waves does it work on? i ride a mini mal and i have to flip it over but im trying to learn to duck dive cause my mini mal getting shorter on me, im 15 btw

Im 16 years old and i can duckdive a longboard. Its not hard, just stuff one rail down and level it out underwater instead of pushing straight down on both rails like on a shortboard.

@MadGamer808 Skating does have a moment , if you skate street its about the tricks , if you skate bowl and like carving it up n cruising without pushing your deck its fun as hell especially if ya get a line goin with ur mates. Nothing like surfin concrete tearin shit up.
