Hello everyone...I´ve been working on this one this morning. I had this idea of making Spidey goof around a bit (totally in character) BEFORE actually jumping and came up with him making some exercises :-D

This is just a quick playblast of the animation itself without any camera movement whatsoever.

Stay tuned for final rendered version in a couple of days.

Thank you for your time, and as usual feel free to comment.

  • WOW!!!! that's in Maya?! .. how did u make him move like that? .. is it a pre physics command thingi or ..?!

  • Yeah..that's all entirely Maya. You make characters move by building a skeleton and binding their mesh to it. Then you can animate control objects that deform your mesh accordingly. This scene is actually part of a bigger project (which I didn't finish, by the way :( ). Thanks for your compliments :)

  • don't thank me .. its a fact ;pp

.. i meant how do u make them deform .. u did each single move by urself. or there is like a command to kneel down etc. ;))? cuz i'm really interested in learnin ..

  • Ah, well...life's not that simple :P. You actually have to do every move, animate everything. There´s help, to some extent (don't really have to worry about the knees, for example they bend nicely. You just have to control where they point to). Same for the elbows... check out some rigging tutorials, there are LOTS of them on the Internet ;)

  • just checked some rigging tutorials. Dude its awesome :)) .. i love this ALOT. I study architecture and we render in formz, or 3d max or sketchup (don't like sketchup though ain't professional) so i do admire everything u do. However, i wanted to jump a bit and extend my efforts to be better than my classmates to make stuff move ;p .. basically wut i'm trying to say is i'm sooooo into computer animation. Wut ur doing.. ROCKS!

  • duuuuude thanx :)!!! .. yeah well just wanted to know that and i do REALLY appreciate every single move u did. but to be honest, life's a BIT simpler ;p checkout RenderMan program, and also there is another program (dunno da name) which gets connected with some1's body and when that person moves, the rendered body on ur pc moves as well ;p and DOES EXACTLY wut the real human does. I'm just seeing if Maya was the same. I'm not searching if RenderMan is that simple too.

  • cool!
