  • While evolved ATV concepts are all well and good, I really hope ESA decides to fund something more innovative with potentially much lower costs, such as the Skylon spaceplane. Skylon is a single stage to orbit, fully reusable, jet-rocket hybrid that could potentially lower costs to as little as €700/kg.

  • @comoinvictus Your talking to a big fan of the Skylon alright, At work got a wallpaper of a Skylon in orbit delivering a payload, their great to look at. Something about them seems to date back to the sci-fi spacecraft from 1950's-60's movies coincidentally which makes them look quite artistic. The only way for human spaceflight to go is private launchers, they will be able to do everything at a small fraction of the cost of state run public agencies and the quality might be improved.

  • where would it be kaunch from? I hope somewhere in europe!

  • @SuperGermany77 The European ships would be launched from South America, a place called French Guyana, But French Guyana is part of the republic of France so it is part of Europe in some ways.

  • is this even lagit?

  • @MrDiddydodd Well all the designs are there. The big question is if they will get funded. Getting money for space projects is like playing roulette. You never know how much you will get.

  • IT'S RUSSIAN IT'S RUSSIAN IT'S RUSSIAN. ONLY RUSSIA IS SUPERIOR IN SPACE TECHNOLOGY

  • @MrDiddydodd That's why Russia pretty much claimed the Arctic by placing a flag there lol..... Right besides the oil too....

Hurry up and put some flags in the Antarctic, islands of the ocean, the moon before it's too late :)

  • @WatchVictor Uhh a European vehicle launched by a European rocket from European territory is Russian? What are you smoking dude? As for the last few concepts they are mainly ESA/Russia co-operative developments, like the video said...

  • europeans has copied from russians

  • i dont see why were not smelting metal from the ball of steel in the sky yet... the moon.

  • i know the space front is very costly its not resonable to pump billions of pounds/dollar/euros into it*. we wont see anything like this for many decades or atleast till the end or european or american recession. its good to look into it though it is a very interesting subject.
