Test Signal - 1000 hz sine wave

Here is the first of a series of a few audio test signals to test your speakers, or apply to some circuit if needed when you don't have a function generator currently available.

If you hear any distortion, you probably got the sound volume up too high, so reduce its value.

The signal is a "(natural) sine waveform" of 1,000 cycle per second (hz) frequency that is audible as a YouTube video.

There are computer programs available that will make test signals. That is how this signal was generated, and because of that it wasn't initially a pure sine wave but a very fine digital approximation. The audio circuitry used to play back this signal should smooth it a bit. In effect, the signal is perhaps a 95 to maby 99 percent sine wave instead of a 100 percent true sine wave. I did not check the output from the YouTube video with an oscilloscope, and if anyone wants to, they can try it and see exactly how good of a sine waveform it is with their "true" analog oscilloscopes. You can find some free oscilloscope programs for a computer, but they are usually for "low frequency" or audio frequencies (below 20,000 hz usually). Still, this should be very usefull for many electronic projects.

I'm not gonna waste my time posting too many vids like this, but if you want me to upload a certain frequency that you need, let me know, maby it's something like a weird audio frequency for tuning or something.
