  • @lonzoroch Stoyanova's vault here is a layout full, not a tuck. Also, just because something is tucked does not necessarily make it easier (although it does get you more points under the current code). A tucked Yurchenko is easier to rotate, but harder to twist. I am not saying anything about the judging, though, because I haven't watched Johnson's vaults.

  • yah . . . comparing her optional vaults to Brandy Johnson's is frustrating . . . Stoya hops on both landings (Brandy on only one) . . . neither of Stoya's vaults are nearly as difficult as Brandy's (1st vault lacks a full twist; 2nd is like Brandy's 1st but in an easier tucked position) . . . unless Stoya made an 11.00 in compulsories, her finishing ahead of Johnson was a travesty in judging

  • Boriana Stoyanova should have won a medal on HV. She had one of the best compulsory vaults and competed 2 distinct vaults in the finals that were solidly performed.

She must have been disappointed. She went home without a medal despite the fact that BUL as a team deserved the bronze and individually she should have obtained one.
