    Our instructors would crucify us if we let go of the catheter before securing it down.

    Also, if you come in parallel to the vein, you don't really need to advance after you get flash. :)

  • @KyprosNighthawk You are right! Never let go of the catheter, especially if in the back of a bumpy ambulance. I guess my working on solid floor in the hospital has taught me a bad habit. :)
