Four Things I Don't "Get" About Christianity

Inspired by the numerous lists entitled "You Might Be a Christian if..." circulating the Internet, this is a brief review of my four favorite common criticisms.

In my opinion, people who dismiss the Christian faith because of the things they don't understand reminds me of a 4 year old kid that attempts the MCAT exam and then decides that doctors are evil and irrelavant because the MCAT "makes no sense."

As for the people that dismiss a loving and just God because he "sends people to hell" is like a person who dismisses a fair and just teacher who "gives an F" to a student who refused to study and therefore bombed a test.

Those aren't fair analogies. If you get an F in class, you can study harder for the next test, or re-take the class. When you go to hell, you're allegedly tortured forever.

you don't even get reborn? nothing? that sucks, lol^_^ idk, i hope there is SOMETHING that we go to after death, as long as it's not something bad. i want to stay with my family and friends, even after death, i don't just want to disappear, that thought is totally depressing:(

i think if the bible didn't have god himself saying he is fair and just, and if christians actually read the whole bible, cover to cover, without interpolating what they HOPE the reasons are for all the atrocities god commits and commands, christianity would be as dead as zoroastrianism and mithraism

I know you won't get alot of boyband loving Christians on here in their 20's so I'll go easy. I think it is good. The whole point is, God makes everyone different, and people have problems because of how he made stuff. But I guess after the histories and prophets eras in the Bible. He decided that the people had earned his Son, Jesus. Whom I guess he gave him the whole Holy Sprit or something and that is why he is "sinless" and therefore perfect. But people folk to it and Jesus helps.

Heres a major flaw in christianity, if god is so perfect and he created everyone in his image and he doesn't make mistakes then how comes there are people who are born deformed and disabled, if god existed and was perfect he wouldn't create people who are deformed and disabled.

LOL that was hysterical. Yes, you are correct, Christianity has some HUGE contradictions and for someone to believe in it is both very limiting and unfortunate. But it is what it is... we can only "Love and allow, Love and allow.." And if its just TOO ridiculous.. laugh a little bit. =D
