I love the Charlatans, should have found about this band long ago really as i have known the Stone roses for many years, should have dug a bit deeper into Madchester scene at the time as i also like James,Inspiral carpets and Happy mondays a lot now.

This is one of their best songs for me. Sure there's the Pink Floyd riff here and it fits perfectly into this song, would have been criminal not to use it.

yeah the one part of this song is lifted from Pink Floyd's Fearless, so what. The way I interpret this song is that its about the Floyd. I may be wrong but then again I love the Floyd so maybe I'm biased

this is a great tune,i saw em in 91 ,after the 1st album,and as good as i thought of em,i took it as they based everything about em on the Roses,with a Hammond, but they have just kept knockin great albums out,they have released so much material and been going for time,so fair do's to the Charlies,...they av made some really top albums,,the album this came off was a class album..

but i will always love the 1st album most cos it was from that era and it was a 1st class debuet album..

Yes, the riff from Fearless is in there, and on "Tellin' Stories it's "Night Flight, by Zeppelin.  Good song though.
