the kid who shot her was NOT a Democrat tho I think FOX news reported that erroneously. JLL was apolitical but antigovernment.
The tone in Gabby's district was pretty heated and violent,as she said. Calling healthcare "death panels" (a blatent lie) and putting gun targets (which Gabby mentioned and didn't like) etc racheted up the extremist feelings and rhetoric. There are deluional people in the world who can absorb that atmosphere and can be more motivated to act. Not smart.

@avoirpleindefric Are you serious? What does the Republican party have to do with her shooting? NOTHING! The kid who shot her was a Democrat! There is overwhelming evidence the Democrat party, unions, and the obama liberals are most violent and antagonistic. Giffords is outright lying here. It's her party that is acting in such ways she describes! Tragedy for Society, yes. But very healthy for the good of our country.
Only this woman deserved the horror she received.
