  • @TrollOfReason great info, but i was being sarcastic in response to what was probably either an ID or creationist remark (i forget now)... i was being a bit heavy handed and it was a complete waste of time (now that i look back on it), but i didn't know that about oxygen so i guess it wasn't all a waste after all! many thanks!

  • @DjDedan Far from being a hindrance, oxygen is more like biological rocket fuel. Chemically it's extremely energetic. The thing about gills/lungs is all about oxygen density. Water can't hold as much oxygen as air. To do higher-energy things requires a more direct absorption route, which isn't possible in water.

Granted, this fish isn't particularly spectacular, but then again, it doesn't have to be. It's alive, it's breeding, there is no reason for it to stop doing what it's doing.

  • @shadeng1 hmm... why create a fish that can breathe in the air but barely move around on the ground? why only give this to a small minority of fish species? why not give all land animals gills as well? hell why need gills in the first place (or lungs), why not just make it so we can extract oxygen from water with our lungs... or hell why even need oxygen at all... what a hindrance oxygen is!

  • Awesome vid. Unfortunately you can't see sh*t!!!

  • Monkey fish frog

  • @lcemanl You wonder about that do you... so the goal of evolution is to fly? Or to become fishes again? Where you born in a barn or have you never read anything about the theory of evolution?

  • @l28power I want to know how they film stuff! Simply amazing! Like there segment on the bumble bee. I want to know how they filmed that.

  • @robomantis - I went down south to provide assistance in capturing the lungfish used in the documentary. David was a bloody ledgend.. The dinner table stories he told us were amazing..
