I have been a Jenny Burton fan forever! This song was one of her early hits on 7" 45 on the Cotillion label! The lady has a dynamic voice which is truly a blessing from God! The first time I saw her perform was at Lincoln Center about twenty years ago. She sang, "His eyes is on the Sparrow" .
Jenny Burtons is best known for her dance hits from the breakin' days of real Hip Hop, are "I Remember What You Like" and the flipside "Players". In the 1990s, having regrouped as an inspirational-gospel artist Jenny Burton had a very successful showing at the famed NY venue Don't Tell Mama with her band and group The Jenny Burton Experience. She was married to a famous Broadway songwriter Peter Link!. This was a reedit of the 7" 45 by Lary Sanders from the Sandpiper

Where can i find this extended mix to buy? LOVE it! I just finished reading Nile Rodgers bio "Le Freak" and he mentioned going to a club to catch Jenny Burton's show in 1983, only to discover Madonna instead...who, by the way, was an unknown then--and OPENING for Jenny Burton! He ended up producing her Like a Virgin album later...he was so high on cocaine that he doesn't remember if he stuck around for Jenny's set back then... it's his loss I say! :)
