Bernard Herrmann is one of the gods of film music. Ranks up there with John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Elmer Bernstein and James Horner.

He truly was phenomenal.

This film us one of my all time faves. Hayley Mills is sheer brilliance. If you never seen you should by it for less than a fiver on amazon whilst it is still available. Worth checking out the other famous Britis classic with the same main actors. See it in a double bill and invite your friends round. I can assure you no one will be dissapointed!

Twisted nerve is about a young man,Martin,who pretends under the name of George to be mentally retarded to be near Susan who he has become infatuated with. In covering his tracks he kills his stepfather and Susans mother. When I watched this as a teenager it was a very unsettling flm.
