I wrote this song as a Requiem. The title is "Requiem for the Road" (A song for Tommy Dorsey). My friend Mic Gillette, (of the band Tower of Power) is featured on trombone. Mic has a very nice Dorsey sound on this I feel. Steve McArthur (piano)& Richard Restivo (bass)of the Black Irish band are on back-up. Margie Buttler (Golden Bough) is on Irish Harp. I perform on the melodeon.

This song was recorded live at Columbia College on May 5th, 2009. This original song I wrote is on the Black Irish Band 20th year celebration album titled-, "TWENTY" is out now! Go to www.blackirish.com or on CD Baby under Black Irish Band. Please let me know if you enjoyed the song? I always loved hearing Tommy Dorsey as a boy. My dad grew up in the 1930s, and was a flyer in WW2, flying b-24 bombers from England.
