Prefer Kempff, I think Barenboim imposes his ideas on this piece, doesn't let it flow and carry you along. But still, what a marvelous pianist, what an incredible mind and talent, I hope he stays with us for a long time. Thank you for posting.

Amazing. I just finished listening to the three movements. The emotion in the melody and the dynamic swell in the harmonies (especially in the first movement) are great. This is going to take me quite a bit of time to master, that's for sure

I can't help but wonder how there can be such a big difference between the various interpretations of this piece all over youtube - and this one really exceeded my expecations by far! It's just played perfectly -
Barenboim is a true master of Beethoven-Sonatas.
