@MangoMan14 You got it! "Thrashing Out". That's about all they've contributed towards an austere genre. The Band mostly responcible for Metal is in fact Black Sabbath. Formed in 1969 unlike Metallica who were formed in 81' & who were a lot more diverse & creative; wipe the floor with them! Metallica just don't sound as good. In fact, I think it's due to the fact that Black Sabbath didn't have intensions of making Metal in the first place. Unlike Metallica who limited themselves from the start.
