What did you use to convert the video to something compatible with image editing software/youtube?

i transferred all vids to my mac. at the time, hd was not supported by you tube. if i was to upload a video straight from the cam, it would turn out looking very low quality, so , i imported the vid into imovie, then i re-exported the vid using an h.264 codec, in hd so that the video would atleast be able to be viewed in a higher setting.

the image stablization software is called "gee three slick effects", but it's for imovie on the mac. if you are a windows person, adobe has premiere elements( version 4 at the least) that includes an image stabilizer. if you have a broadband and use bittorrent, you can try and download the program, but you might have download several versions, just to make sure that you have the right one.

I have the camera and its great. Don't know what the hell your talking about, push the record button in half way and it refocuses...

you know, i never knew about that. of course, i never did read the manual. i just discovered image stabilization software that will fix any shaky footage. if nothing else impresses me after this next wave of pocket hd cams, i just might have to go back to wal-mart and purchase another, although i wasn't too hot on the visual noise in low light. thank you very much for putting me in check.

did you have the camera in the Macro mode?

It is supposed to focus down to 1 cm. or about 1/2".

This is blurry video and out of focus.

What image stabilization software did you discover? I'm just a little displeased with it's shaky video. Is there any thing else you can recommend for this camera as I just got laid off and I'm not going to buy anything else.

Can you tell me if this camera runs off something plugged in. It says there's a DC door but, what is that? Can you get extra batteries anywhere and they're not expensive? I haven't had this camera long--just a few weeks. Tell me your experience with it, tips, tricks. you can e-mail me if you like. oh, what do you do for image stabilization?

Sorry the first post was a little harsh. I was on the iPhone and it replaces heck with hell, haha. Yeah I think it's great. The microphone is a little bad, but editing software helps, you should be able to turn it up there. The night feature helps alot, although I havnt used it more then just testing it once.
