ALV Broiler Bird Investigation

On April 20 2009, Animal Liberation Victoria's Openrescue team investigated a broiler chicken shed in Bayles, Victoria. What they found were thousands of birds trapped in shocking conditions. Many were suffering from ammonia burns and crippling. The floor of the shed was covered with a thick sludge of manure making the air toxic.
The Openrescue team rescued 14 birds.

This is inspiration. Action must be taken to eliminate these horrendous conditions and this is exactly what ALV are achieving by exposing this to the public.

I agree that there should be better regulations. Mucking out of sheds on a DAILY basis and random spot checks, and severe fines if any breaches are

made, but yelling and screaming "Don't eat chickens, save the chicken bla bla bla..." makes you sound like absolute NUTCASES! Don't push people away from what can be an important improvement of welfare for animals with your raving and ranting about meat eaters. You can't get to the top of the staircase without taking the first step!

Chickens move away from the wet manure if there is a leak, it's common sense.

The point is to expose what Australia still deems as legal, that even their pitiful regulations are not being adhered to. They can hide and label cartons "happy hen eggs" or "farm fresh chicken" all they want but this is the truth and the truth aint pretty! We need to also share this video and show people what kind of life quality they are funding and KEEP reminding them. This should be more inspiring I think, there's animals relying on us to get them out of hell. Please don't turn your back!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! great work guys but cant you show something positive for a change ??? the same shit every time puts me off, there must be something positive to inspire people. this makes me want to turn away and i am sure others do too. BTW Kentucky dont sell McNuggets, Mcdonalds do :)
