Admiral James Stockdale stumbling in his Vice Presidential debate in 1992. Sad, as he was a war hero who was really quite brilliant.

Quote Dennis Miller in'93: "He was the first guy in and the last guy out of Vietnam, a war that many Americans, including our current President didn't want to dirty their hands with. The reason he had to turn his hearing aid on at the debate is because those fucking animals knocked his eardrums out when he wouldn't spill his guts. He teaches philosophy @ Stanford, he's a brilliant, sensitive, courageous man. And yet he committed the one unpardonable sin in our culture: he was bad on television."

I couldn't fit the whole thing in here, google it, but this is enough, I think.

Stockdale was a beast. Unfortunately he was up against professional politicians...

Well, you don't want the guy who's a heartbeat away from the Presidency to be bad on television. It's pretty important in the TV age that a President be good on television, to project strength and competence to the world.

Lets put it this way; Admiral Stockdale won't go down in history as a great debater and public speaker. This debate was an absolute embasassment and a possible death blow to the Perrot campaign. Yes Admiral Stockdate was a brave military man and served the interests of the globalists, world bankers, corporate interests and wall street well. There is lots of money to be made by wars.and pawns like James Stockdale do their job well.
