I found a document online somewhere a few months ago that gives the composition of coinage and the dates that each alloy was used on which coin. Interesting stuff

Canadian pennies are made of copper plated steel instead of nickel nowadays because it's cheaper (dunno about the US though, might be). Government wouldn't want to spend more than 1 cent on a penny anyways.

I have a small aluminum tank (actually a "spice jar" from a dollar store). Gravity feeds the fuel from that into the main burner tank. Most of the time this gravity tank sits at a level below the burner, so that any excess fuel in the burner (meths expands as it heats) may flow back into this tank (hence the burner will never spill over). Every now and then I just lift up the gravity tank for a few seconds and let it top up the burner tank. IMHO it's about the safest meths burner going.

...It occurs to me that you might mean the burner tube itself. That one is easy. That tube is loosely packed with a cotton rope, or similar material. The rope extends back into the fuel tank. capillary action wicks fuel from the tank into the burner tube.
When the fuel tank is as full as I let it become, some fuel can flow directly into the burner tube, which helps to prime it initially.

i like it much beter than the old ones, clean and simple.

I'm all about simple ;)
I've found that the more over-engineered something is, the worse it ends up working. At least when *I* build it.
