Getting past cloud security myths

How do organisations get past the common myths about security and the cloud, and what do organisations really need to do to deliver secure networking in the cloud?

Viewpoint talks to Ray Stanton, Global Head of Business Continuity, Security & Governance Practice at BT to get his view.

Ray says that when people are looking to adopt cloud services they need to look beyond the myths around cloud including those focused on security which BT were working to dispel.

He says that you need to understand your target environment and the standards of security that you need to set.

You should approach cloud as any other outsource contract and then you will have all of those contexts to ensure that you meet your security requirements.

Ray highlighted that security and resilience needs to be embeded in from the begining and included in contracts and service level agreements.
